A focus on the importance of gesture and flow in the work pushes this series of collages into new areas—incorporating more lyrical forms, asemic writing, and mark-making (often using materials in nature as drawing tools). Ink is applied first and the added collage elements further animate and accentuate the line work. Torn paper shapes create a dialogue with the marks, by extending lines and emphasizing movement.
